The kit is a 1/12 scale plastic assembly set reproducing the Antena 3 Yamaha YZR500 Team D'Antin of 2002, intended as a display-orientated replica suitable for careful finishing.
Yamaha's YZR500 represents a line of two-stroke 500cc Grand Prix racers built for top-level road competition. In the 2002 season the paddock included emerging 4-stroke 990cc machines while two-stroke entries like the V4 YZR500 remained in use. The Antena 3 Yamaha d'Antin machine was campaigned by Norifumi Abe that year, notable for a compact V4 two-stroke layout with pronounced cowlings and twin exhausts delivering light weight and sharp handling.
This kit recreates the racing bodywork, rear exhaust layout and the overall engine silhouette associated with the YZR500. Several main panels, including the seat and assorted cowlings, are removable to simplify painting and fine detailing. The decal sheet provides the race numbers included in the original issue. Construction follows standard plastic modelling practice and allows for painting and subtle weathering to match photographic references.
An accurate external representation emphasising the race livery and silhouette, ideal for modellers focused on display realism and refined finishing.
