This Yokomo IB-414KB1A kingpin ball is produced as an upgrade for A-arms such as DRB and DIB that require a modestly higher ball neck to correct geometry or stop contact at pronounced camber. The 1mm taller neck provides a measured adjustment to arm angle while keeping the original arm in place.
The threaded portion is made to the 3mm ISO standard and will mate with aluminium steering blocks that accept that thread form. These are useful when the factory ball base meets the arm during extreme camber or when you want to alter upper or lower arm angles to refine steering feel and the tyre contact patch.
Fitting is straightforward: remove the original kingpin ball from the A-arm or steering block, screw the IB-414KB1A into the mount, and inspect clearance through full suspension travel. Ensure there is no binding at the ball base and test on-track to confirm roll center and camber behavior before completing final tightening.
