The Serpent 500912 rear shock spring is an orange 13mm spring rated at 1.9lbs, offered as a direct replacement to modify rear support and rebound characteristics. It allows adjustments to handling balance without the need to replace shock bodies or mounts.

Fitting is performed on common threaded-piston or cup-style rear shocks by removing the end caps, sliding off the old spring and lower retainer, fitting the Serpent 500912 spring, then setting preload and rebound to suit. Standard RC maintenance tools are sufficient for the job.

From a setup perspective, the firmer 1.9lbs rate increases rear support and can quicken rebound versus softer springs, which may alter oversteer/understeer tendencies; always test changes incrementally and adjust shock oil and preload in combination.
