The Tamiya 1/12 scale Ducati Desmosedici model faithfully echoes the bike's engineering, including the 16-valve V4 engine and the distinct truss-frame construction. The model shows the swing arm connection to the crankcase and comes with rubber tyres approximating racing slick profiles.
First seen in the 2003 MotoGP season, the Desmosedici was raced by Loris Capirossi and Troy Bayliss, with the 2004 version refining performance at circuits such as Suzuka and Catalunya. The kit supplies parts and Cartograf decals so you can assemble the bike in either rider's specification.
Scale wiring for the accelerator, clutch and brakes is represented using plastic tubing for realistic routing. The side panels and seat cowling are removable to expose the engine for display. White sponsor markings are not included due to restrictions, but the kit maintains high fidelity to the prototype.
