This 1/72 scale plastic kit portrays the Mitsubishi MU-2J configured for flight inspection roles and includes a small ground tractor for scenic presentation.
The MU-2 is a nimble twin turboprop that entered service in the 1960s for business and regional use. Throughout its production the airframe was adapted into numerous variants and occasionally modified for specialist missions. Some MU-2J examples were converted to flight inspection standards with added instruments to support navigation aid verification.
The kit features the MU-2J in flight check squadron markings and provides a compact tractor for ramp scenes. Parts are produced in the usual injection-moulded fashion with separate wings, fuselage halves, and clear glazing pieces. Surface detail and control demarcation are modelled for the scale; interior and avionics are minimally represented and can be upgraded with aftermarket items for greater realism.
Painting and assembly call for routine modelling paints and tools. Decals reflect the flight check scheme illustrated on the box art; the included tractor offers a simple display option. For best results, dry-fit parts before final bonding and use standard seam-filler and sanding techniques to smooth joins.
A neat 1/72 kit pairing a specialised MU-2J finish with a small ground vehicle, ideal for collectors and modellers who prefer compact, well-presented displays.
