Refined Rear Axle for Classic RX Models

The XRAY 345101 Rear Solid Axle Set offers a focused upgrade for older RX series vehicles aiming for improved drivetrain feel. Made from HUDY Spring Steel, it reduces mass by about 25% compared to the standard #345110 part, helping with quicker acceleration and improved transient handling.

Precision Ground and Hardened for Racing

Each axle receives a hand-ground finish to promote smooth rotation, plus heat treatment and a black protective coating to withstand demanding use. The kit also includes a 48T rear composite lightweight axle pulley to integrate with your rear end assembly.

Benefits Overview

  • Material: HUDY Spring Steel for a durable, lightweight solution.
  • Weight Advantage: Approximately 25% lighter than the #345110 original, reducing rotating inertia.
  • Durability: Heat treated and black coated to prolong working life.
  • Precision: Hand-ground for consistent, low-friction operation.
  • Fitment: Intended for older RX series chassis and drivetrains.
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
No special bearings are required; standard rear bearings used in older RX models will work, though inspect them for wear and replace as needed to match the new axle's precision.
Lower rotating mass can subtly alter rear traction characteristics, so expect small changes in balance and consider minor setup adjustments to differential or roll centre if needed.
The included 48T composite pulley is suitable for typical club racing loads, but inspect it regularly for wear and replace if you see deformation or tooth damage.
Keep the area free of dirt and grit, use light lubrication on contact points, and check for any scoring after hard sessions to keep the axle running smoothly.
