The Tamiya 1/35 German Assault Pioneer Team & Goliath set reproduces a unique WWII demolition carrier and the pioneer crew in injection-moulded plastic. The parts provide crisp detail for model makers aiming for an accurate small-scale display.
Used in specialised roles, the Goliath was compact at around 160cm long and powered by two 12V motors, carrying up to 60kg of explosives. It was controlled over a cable link for clearing mines or breaching emplacements. Approximately 2,650 examples were built between 1942 and 1944 and were employed by assault pioneer teams.
