Required Components and Fitment Guidance

This 48T spur is intended for XRAY centre differential systems and, due to its larger diameter, requires Center Diff Shimming Plates (#354032) and the Aluminum Center Diff Mounting Plate 7075 T6 (3mm) (#354055). Using the correct shims and mounting plate makes for accurate gear mesh and reliable mounting under hard use.

Check the diff housing clearance and verify space for the Center Diff Shimming Plates (#354032) plus mounting plate (#354055). Measure the available diameter and compare before ordering.
You can, but expect a change in final drive ratio. Adjust pinion size if you need to recover top speed or alter acceleration characteristics.
Look for tooth rounding, metal fatigue or pitting. If engagement becomes noisy or inconsistent, replace the spur to prevent further drivetrain damage.
Light gear-safe grease on mating surfaces can reduce wear and dampen noise. Avoid excess lubricant that can attract dirt and grit.
