Overview of the GTX8 Shock Package

For the dedicated RC racer, the XRAY 358106 GTX8 Big-Bore Shock Absorbers deliver improved control and durability for serious track use. These units are engineered for repeatable performance under race stresses.

Big-Bore Layout and Adjustability

The GTX8 shock absorbers use an 18.5mm outer diameter and an external threaded collar to speed up spring preload adjustments. This configuration supports consistent handling across varying grip levels. The titanium color hardcoated aluminum body combines resilience with a neat finish.

Delrin Pistons and Controlled Flow

Pistons are offered in 6-, 8-, and 10-hole variants and are moulded from Delrin to maintain smooth movement and matched action across the set. With a 16mm inner diameter, oil flow stays consistent for predictable damping output.

Durability, Shafts and Servicing

The shock shafts are 3.5mm thick, made from high-tensile steel and polished to reduce friction under load. The lower assemblies are straightforward to strip for maintenance, using silicone O-rings for secure sealing while allowing free rod travel. Please note that springs are not included in this set.
