Rear Dampers Built for the XRAY XT8

Fit this rear shock absorber kit to your XRAY XT8 to gain improved damping control and increased suspension travel. The large-bore units come as a matched pair and include dark blue hard springs to suit demanding off-road use.

Engineered Finish for Reliable Movement

Precision CNC machining and XRAY's robotic hard-anodizing produce very smooth internal surfaces that let the pistons work freely and consistently. The kit provides three piston sizes (1.3mm, 1.4mm and 1.5mm) so you can fine tune damping for different circuits and surface types.

Solid Components and Protective Features

Each shock uses a 3.5mm hardened steel shaft for enhanced strength. Aluminium caps and upper rubber boots prevent dirt entry, while shorter rubber boots with hard foam protectors at the lower end keep abrasive particles away from seals and lower components, helping maintain performance over time.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Smaller pistons reduce damping resistance for a quicker response, while larger pistons increase damping for firmer control. Choose based on track grip and chassis balance.
Yes, replacement 3.5mm shafts and service parts are available and can be fitted with standard shock rebuild procedures.
Start with medium-weight shock oils and adjust heavier or lighter to tune rebound and compression speed, matching your piston choice and driving style.
Foam protectors compress and wear over time; replace them if they no longer seal or if they show signs of damage to preserve shock life.
Pair stiffer springs with larger pistons for controlled compression on rough tracks, and use softer springs with smaller pistons for better traction on low-grip surfaces. Test iteratively to find the best combination.
