S-2205 Motor Shaft Replacement

This replacement shaft is designed for S-2205 series outrunner motors sold by Scorpion. It remedies shafts that have worn or bent, which can cause unacceptable runout or poor pinion engagement, restoring straightness and internal alignment within the motor.

Intended role: this 3mm shaft is used during routine service or following bearing and gear work on brushless motors. Replacing a worn shaft can reduce vibration and yield more predictable tuning, though bearing fit and gear mesh remain key factors for ultimate performance.

Installation notes: carefully remove the motor can and rotor, keep shims and marked orientations, slide the rotor clear of the old shaft, install the replacement shaft and rebuild in the original order. While the motor is open, inspect bearings and pinion for wear and correct any axial play before resealing the can.
