The Tamiya 54378 Slipper Clutch Set provides a measured way to protect the XV-01 drivetrain from sudden torque spikes caused by hard acceleration, abrupt braking and heavy landings. It delivers more predictable traction on low-traction layouts by allowing controlled slip where needed.

Spur gear and pinion compatibility

The kit includes a 48 pitch spur gear (77T) and is compatible with common 48 pitch pinions like 54218, 54382 and 54383. This lets you alter the slipper characteristics to suit specific track grip and handling goals.
