1/32 Scale De Havilland Mosquito FB Mk.VI Summary

Known as the "Wooden Wonder," the De Havilland Mosquito was notable for its timber construction that produced excellent speed and handling compared with contemporary metal designs. The FB Mk.VI entered service in 1943 and was fitted with four 7.7mm machine guns, four 20mm cannons and could carry up to four 500 lb bombs.

Scale Fidelity and Engine Visibility

The Tamiya 1/32 kit reproduces the Mosquitos profile and cockpit with high fidelity. With a 515mm wingspan the model includes a detailed cockpit and the option to display the bomb bay open or closed. Clear engine cowling parts are supplied so you can showcase the Merlins when desired.

Selectable Parts for Period Accuracy

The kit offers a choice of propeller types to reflect early or later fittings, and exhausts can be assembled exposed or covered, allowing you to match reference photos or personal preference.

Yes, the transparent cowling pieces let you show painted Merlin engines and add detail such as wiring and weathering that will be visible through the panels.
The wider paddle type blades generally represent later or alternate fits; the slim line blades are typical of earlier examples.
Decals are included for common markings, and many builders complement them with careful painting and weathering to achieve museum quality results.
The level of detail and options for exposed engines and open bomb bay mean this kit rewards careful assembly and finishing for display standard builds.
