XF-7 Flat Red by Tamiya for Scale and Figure Work

Tamiya XF-7 Flat Red is a 23ml water soluble acrylic resin paint designed for scale modellers and figure painters. It is compatible with styrol resins, Styrofoam, wood and common model plastics and can be applied with a brush or an airbrush.

Coverage and Colour Handling

The XF-7 delivers reliable, flat coverage and a uniform appearance across painted surfaces. It blends well with other acrylics for subtle toning and shading without producing patchy results.

Recommended Thinners and Technique

For airbrushing, thin XF-7 with approved Tamiya thinners such as 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520 or 87077 to get the preferred spray consistency. Trial sprays are useful to find the right mix for your equipment.
