Mini Semi-Gloss Acrylic for Kits and Repairs

Tamiya 81518 Mini Acrylic X-18 Semi-Gloss Black is supplied in a 10ml bottle of water-soluble acrylic resin paint designed for both brushing and spraying. It works on styrol resins, Styrofoam, wood and most commonly used model plastics, providing smooth coverage and a semi-gloss sheen.

How to Thin and Use

When airbrushing, dilute with recommended Tamiya thinners such as 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520 or 87077 to get a consistent spray pattern and blendable layers.

Will this paint chip easily on handled parts?

As with most acrylics, durability depends on surface prep and thickness of the coat; priming and lighter layered coats will reduce the risk of chipping on frequently handled parts.

Are these paints safe to use indoors?

Use in a well-ventilated area and follow safety advice on the bottle. Although water-based, solvents and thinners can produce fumes during thinning and spraying.
