Tamiya XF-53 Neutral Grey in a 10ml bottle uses water-based acrylic resins to provide good coverage and a pleasant, controllable feel when painting. It is suitable for styrol resins, Styrofoam, wood and a range of common modelling plastics.

Tips for Smooth Coverage

Brush or airbrush Tamiya XF-53 depending on the job. For airbrushing, thin with Tamiya thinners like 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, or 87077 to help the paint atomise cleanly and lay down thin, even coats.

Applications for Models and Dioramas

The balanced grey works well for vehicle models, figures and scenic work where a neutral base or subtle shading is required. Layer and blend XF-53 to achieve realistic tonal transitions.
