Flat Acrylic for Scale Modelling

The Tamiya 10ml XF-88 Dark Yellow 2 is a flat acrylic paint aimed at modellers and miniature painters. Its water-soluble acrylic resin base allows both brush and airbrush application and adheres to styrene plastics, foam materials, timber and other typical modelling substrates.

Consistent Application with Water Cleanup

XF-88 provides reliable coverage and a smooth flow profile, which supports delicate shading and fine detailing. While uncured it can be removed with water to correct errors. For spraying, thin using Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner; Tamiya Lacquer Thinner may be used when faster drying and a tougher surface are required.

Matte Appearance and Brush Additives

Part of the flat finish family, XF-88 offers a low gloss finish suited to realistic builds. To improve brush finishes, use Tamiya Paint Retarder (87114) to extend working time and reduce visible strokes. This colour is a practical choice for a range of modelling schemes.
