The handle is produced from solvent-resistant plastic so it tolerates a range of hobby paints and solvents. The laser-engraved "TAMIYA MODELING BRUSH HG II" marking gives a clear brand finish.

An anti-roll tab at the rear prevents the brush from rolling away and saves the tip from contact with work surfaces. The tab is removable with side cutters if preferred.
