The APC AP15012W is offered as a replacement or spare for aircraft that use 15x12 props. With a wider blade section it produces increased static thrust at lower speeds, which benefits short takeoffs and controlled slow-flight on many scale and sport models.
To install, mount the prop to the hub or adapter on your spinner or motor, secure with the correct nut or retainer, and confirm the direction of rotation matches the motor. Check spinner and fuselage clearance so the blades do not contact surrounding surfaces at full pitch.
Before each sortie, perform a static balance check and inspect blades for chips, cracks, or warping; even minor defects can introduce vibration that shortens motor and bearing life. For trimming the model, use small adjustments to pitch and throttle while watching motor temperature and vibration levels closely.
When replacing a prop, ensure the handedness and nominal size on the new blade match the original, and verify adapter and spinner seating to prevent undue load on the motor shaft or bearings.
