Mini Kraton 3S center differential upgrade

This complete center differential is supplied as an assembled upgrade for ARRMA Mini Kraton 3S models and is offered to replace factory part number ARA-2985. The design combines 20CrMnTi steel gearing with a 7075 aluminum housing, and the internal layout uses beefed-up gears for improved mesh and reduced transmission losses.

The centre unit is 38T at module 0.8 and fits standard 3.175mm motor shafts. The kit ships with a motor plate and a 15T motor pinion (0.8 mod), and it accepts pinion sizes from 11T to 23T on the same 3.175mm bore. Note that no differential oil is supplied, so you will need to fill and tune viscous damping to achieve your desired handling balance.

Installation notes: pre-assembled subcomponents are used where practical to ease fitting, and it is recommended to apply a medium-strength threadlocker on critical fasteners to prevent loosening. The motor plate and included hardware permit replacement of the centre assembly without major chassis alteration.

Tuning guidance: because the differential is shipped dry, choose viscous values that suit your surface and driving style; suggested starting points are 50K CST front, 30K CST rear, and substantially higher values such as 500K CST or 1000K CST for the centre depending on traction and steering needs.
