Shock damping oil for models

The Arrowmax am-210013 silicone shock fluid is supplied as a 59ml bottle and rated at 800cst, intended for use inside model shock absorbers to modify damping characteristics. It alters internal fluid flow so the shock compresses and rebounds at a different rate, helping to tailor handling.

Choose viscosity in line with the shock design and the driving behavior you want to achieve. Higher centistoke ratings increase resistance to movement and slow the damper, while lower ratings allow quicker action. Use the same viscosity on paired shocks to preserve symmetrical handling.

When servicing, work cleanly and avoid contaminating the oil. Replace the fluid carefully, remove any trapped air from the shock bodies, and check piston faces and seals since worn parts will affect damping regardless of oil selection.
