Direct replacement fibre chassis for RC18T

This fibre main chassis is produced as an aftermarket replacement for the Associated RC 18T platform. The package contains alloy mounts, mounting screws, E-clips and Delrin posts to reattach common subassemblies without extra modification.

During installation, verify alignment of all mount points and check clearances near the gearbox, motor and suspension pickup locations before final tightening. Tighten fasteners incrementally to avoid compressing Delrin posts or bending the fibre edge.

Suitable for competitors and keen hobbyists who prefer to dial handling through mechanical setup, the chassis alters baseline flex so ride height, shock valving and anti-roll settings are the primary tuning tools.

Specifications

  • Item: Associated RC 18T fibre main chassis with alloy mounts, screws, E-clips and Delrin posts 1pc set Economy Version
  • Material: Fibre
  • Model Number: FAR016
  • Compatibility: Associated RC 18T

Fits directly to RC18T cars and is intended to be used as a setup element to tune balance and flex; perform standard assembly checks and a short track test after fitting.

The FAR016 is intended as a direct replacement and is made to use the stock mounting positions on compatible Associated RC 18T models.
Because the chassis changes flex behaviour, retune shock valving and ride height as needed to recover the desired handling balance.
Start with hand-tight screws to ensure alignment, then tighten progressively to final torque to avoid distorting the fibre or compressing Delrin posts.
Check screw torque, inspect Delrin posts, verify motor and drivetrain clearance, and perform a brief test session to confirm alignment and handling characteristics.
