This steering linkage rod is supplied for the Axial AX10 Scorpion chassis and other AX10-series models, using the part reference AX10-27/GR. It functions as a spare or direct replacement linking the servo output to the front steering knuckles and maintaining the mechanical steering connection across the axle.
To fit: detach the original rod from the ball cups, seat the new rod into the existing ball ends, and set the length so the steering geometry centres at neutral. Inspect ball cups and link seating for play and make fine adjustments to eliminate steering slop while achieving the required toe and centring.
The linkage is a tuning component that affects steering feel and mechanical free play without changing servo ratings or the suspension geometry by itself. Minor length changes alter toe angle and steering return; keeping the rod roughly parallel with the servo arm at rest improves predictable steering on technical crawler sections.
