Centre Swing Shaft Specified for EXO

The EX037S steel centre swing shaft is an aftermarket replacement intended for use with the Axial EXO chassis and supplied as a single set. As a direct replacement for the centre swing assembly, the steel shaft is aimed at improving centre drivetrain rigidity and resisting wear compared with typical stock components.

For tuners refining drivetrain behaviour, a steel centre shaft alters feedback and increases stiffness around the centre differential and linkage points. You should expect reduced flex under heavy loads during challenging trail sections or bashing, while recognising that added stiffness will transfer greater shock into adjacent linkages and mounts.

Installation is uncomplicated for those experienced with EXO centre assemblies: withdraw the original shaft from the swing carrier, inspect bearings and link pins for wear, install the steel shaft into the same position, and confirm free movement of the swing arms before completing assembly. Do not over-tighten fasteners and ensure surrounding bearings operate smoothly after fitting.

Service recommendations: periodically inspect shaft surfaces and bearing interfaces for wear and corrosion, maintain appropriate lubrication for steel-to-bearing contact, and renew any worn link pins or bearings to prevent accelerated wear to the shaft.
