This brass lower gear cover skid plate is a scale replacement crafted specifically to fit the Axial Racing SCX24 chassis. It protects the lower gearbox section and underside from contact with rocky surfaces and trail hazards while crawling or trail driving.

The brass construction improves abrasion resistance and durability, trading off extra mass and a slightly lower centre of gravity which can affect technical slow-speed performance.
