Rigid aluminium front/rear gearbox housings for RR10 builds

This set of aluminium front and rear gearbox housings is a scale replacement intended for Axial RR10 Bomber and Wraith models. The alloy housings replace plastic cases to improve dimensional accuracy and wear resistance in gearboxes used on scale trail and crawling rigs.

These components target RR10 Bomber and Wraith chassis that use the AX31317 style gearbox layout. Confirm your chassis shares the same mounting points and gear stack orientation before fitting to prevent compatibility problems.

Installation guidance: remove wheel hubs and driveshafts, open the gearbox cover, and transfer internal gears and bearings into the aluminium housings while keeping the original orientations. After assembly, verify bearing seating and gear mesh clearance, adjust shims or washers if necessary, and torque fasteners to match chassis specifications. Apply thread locker on screws that enter the alloy if you anticipate heavy vibration.

Setup considerations: alloy housings alter stiffness and heat transfer compared with plastic, usually reducing flex under load for a more consistent gear mesh. Monitor bearing seating and lubrication closely since harder housings can pass more vibration to internal gears.
