25mm aluminium hex adapters to widen stance

This pair of wheel hex adapters increases the effective track by 25mm on Axial SCX10 II platforms while staying compact. Each adapter is for wheels with a 5mm hub hole and is compatible with 4mm threaded wheel shafts so compatible wheels can be retained.

The clamping system uses an O-ring at one face, and on the other a spring steel retaining ring, a compression spring with washers, and a stainless screw to compress the stack. Internally a Delrin locating collar centres the wheel and reduces the chance of the wheel rotating on the adapter under crawling torque and low-speed traction loads.

Fitting these adapters shifts wheel stance for improved lateral stability on technical sections. Before installing, verify axle thread and wheel hub sizes, make sure the spring and retaining components are correctly positioned, and confirm the Delrin collar centres the wheel to avoid imbalance.
