Scale centre CVD for SCX10 III installations

This centre CVD drive shaft is created for AXIAL SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 scale vehicles and is supplied as an aftermarket replacement by GPM. The assembly uses 4140 carbon steel in high-stress areas with 6061-T6 alloy components to offer a compromise between toughness and weight for model drivetrain systems.

The CVD rotary arrangement reduces driveline backlash and cuts transmission losses compared with simple dogbones, providing a more direct transfer of motor torque to axle inputs on crawlers and trail rigs. Source measurements indicate a folded length of about 92mm and an extended length of about 106mm; it is intended for 5mm output shafts and supersedes factory part AXI-2063+AXIC1148.

Joint areas are covered by a rubber dust sleeve to help prevent sand and grit ingress, lowering internal wear and simplifying maintenance after off-road use. This product is intended strictly for RC-scale applications and must not be used on real vehicles.
