Stiffer front CVD for Yeti XL

This aftermarket front CVD drive shaft is a direct-fit steel upgrade for Axial Racing Yeti XL drivers seeking increased durability in the front drivetrain. The 124mm #45 steel shaft with an 8mm wheel hex replaces the factory front CVD to reduce flex and improve resistance to wear during aggressive off-road use.

Fitting is straightforward for anyone familiar with Yeti XL front shaft replacements: remove wheel and hub, detach axle parts as required, then install the replacement ensuring splines engage correctly and bolts are tightened to factory torque settings. Only use thread locker where the original design prescribes it and verify wheel hex engagement prior to running.

As a tuning upgrade, the steel shaft raises drivetrain stiffness and helps maintain consistent wheel engagement over rough ground and under sudden throttle. Remember to consider suspension and diff setup so you do not transfer excessive shock loads to other components.

Fits perfect good quality!! One thing that I don’t like it’s not fit straight on the kit version only RTR Yeti XL.
Most hobbyists can fit this at home with standard RC tools and hex drivers; follow factory torque specs and check clearances during a trial assembly.
The part includes an 8mm wheel hex as specified; confirm compatibility with your existing hubs when you install it.
Look for rounded splines, visible deformation, or excessive play in the hex; these signs mean the shaft should be renewed to avoid drivetrain damage.
