Direct replacement motor plate for B-Max2

The Yokomo YOKB2-304 motor plate is supplied as a replacement for the B-Max2 chassis and is intended to secure the motor while maintaining reliable gear mesh during setup and use. The text covers fit, fitting considerations, and the plate's interaction with motor placement and drivetrain alignment.

The unit supplies a fixed mounting surface to enable repeatable motor positioning when swapping motors or refining pinion and spur engagement. A stable plate minimises variation and helps isolate adjustments during tuning. Prior to installation, check the state of the mounting screws and the motor pod interface to ensure correct alignment and to prevent bearing preload.

Fitting advice: retain original mounting hardware where practical, use thread locker on steel screws if the chassis manual advises it, and verify pinion-to-spur clearance with the motor at low power. The plate acts as mechanical support and does not change electronic configurations or require ESC or servo alterations beyond normal setup checks.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The plate is specified for the B-Max2. Fitment to other models is not guaranteed and should be confirmed against those chassis' motor pod dimensions before purchase.
If no screws are supplied, reuse the chassis' original fasteners or source compatible screws matching the original thread pitch and length to maintain correct clamping and alignment.
No special break-in is necessary. After installation, confirm mesh and run a short test to ensure nothing has shifted, then recheck screw torque.
With the motor lightly powered, check pinion-to-spur mesh visually and by listening for smooth engagement; adjust motor location if any binding or excessive clearance is detected.
