This replacement lower shock cap is intended for RC damper assemblies, acting as the closure for the shock body and providing sealing, oil retention, and a secure mounting interface for the shock shaft and internal components during rebuilds.

Fitting is carried out in a few steps: remove the shock from the chassis, drain oil if necessary, dismantle the lower section, replace the existing lower cap with this item, and then reassemble using the original internal parts and the correct oil grade. Check shaft alignment and piston travel before reinstalling the shock onto the car.

For setup and servicing the lower cap influences leak resistance and workshop ease more than the suspension's dynamic response. Make seal checks part of your routine, ensure mating surfaces are clean, and confirm thread engagement to avoid cross-threading during reassembly.
