Short Shock II SLF piston description

This short shock piston is built for BD7-2016 shock assemblies and features a 1.1 x 3-hole SLF configuration to control internal oil flow. As a replacement damper piston it permits tuning of internal bleed without altering the shock's external layout.

To install, disassemble the short shock body, replace the original piston with this SLF unit, then reassemble seals and shafts in the correct order. Check orientation and stroke clearance prior to final installation, and choose shock oil viscosity that complements the piston selection for stable results.

Functionally the piston adjusts bleed through its holes and affects mid- and high-speed compression response when used with BD7-2016 shock bodies. Introduce changes one at a time during setup work to accurately assess handling differences on your 1/10 touring car.

Compatibility

Compatible with BD7-2016.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It signifies the piston bore (1.1 mm) and the number of bleed holes; together these determine how oil flows through the piston and the resulting damping characteristics.
The listing is specific to BD7-2016. Other model years may differ in internal dimensions, so confirm bore and spacer compatibility prior to fitting.
Perform one change at a time, record results, and test in representative track conditions to determine the piston impact on compression and overall handling.
