The RG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.2.0 (Hatsune Miku Ver.) belongs to the Real Grade 1/144 line. The RX-78-2, from the Universal Century background, was conceived as the Earth Federation Forces' prototype flagship developed during the One Year War to blend mobility with modular armor and flexible armament options. It functioned as a test platform for internal-frame approaches and multi-role capability. The Ver.2.0 engineering emphasizes an articulated inner frame and refined external panels; the Real Grade format recreates these elements at 1/144 scale using intricate sub-assemblies and clear part separation, while the themed colour scheme applies alternate surface finishes to the established Ver.2.0 layout.
Difficulty: advanced. This Real Grade model contains many tiny components and inner-frame sub-assemblies that require care during construction. Standard tools such as precision nippers for runner removal, a hobby knife for nub trimming, and tweezers for manipulating small parts are recommended for smooth assembly.
Optional finishing measures include light seam removal, panel lining to highlight engraved details, and a protective topcoat for an even finish. If you intend to improve on the runner colours, masking and careful application of paint will yield better consistency and sharper edges.
The kit blends Ver.2.0 internal-frame design with a themed colour treatment, delivering compact articulation and distinct panel separation suitable for display or further customisation.
