Battery stop description and role

The Serpent SER601416 Battery stop mount is an accessory designed to lock the battery into place inside compatible SRX8e Gen4 chassis rails. Its role is to keep the pack from shifting under acceleration, braking and lateral cornering loads.

It is intended as a chassis retention item rather than any kind of electrical part. Installation generally replaces or supplements the kit's factory retainers and interfaces with the battery tray and side rails. Fitted correctly it reduces battery movement that could alter weight distribution and handling during setup changes.

For fitting, check the existing tray geometry and screw access on your SRX8e Gen4, align the stop with the battery edge and use the original hex screws or specified mounting hardware to fasten it. Take care to avoid over-torquing to prevent deformation of the tray or stop mount.

On-track use: a consistently fixed battery gives repeatable handling feedback when you adjust suspension settings, ride height or balance, so the part is most valuable during iterative setup rather than as a standalone performance enhancement.
