Overview: BD-301FR3 front arm mount

The BD-301FR3 is a blue anodized aluminum front suspension arm mount for 1/10 touring car chassis BD7 and BD5. It replaces the rear side of the front suspension arm mount to alter arm pin spacing and change front-end geometry while leaving other suspension parts intact.

The measured pin pitch between left and right suspension arm pins is 44.2mm, which is 0.7mm wider than standard. That modest increase changes track and scrub radius and can be used to fine tune front behaviour and cornering balance.

Installation notes: attach at the original suspension arm mounting points with the existing pins and hardware, ensure alignment before final tightening, and proceed with incremental tests - slight spacing changes may need corresponding toe or camber tuning to restore handling balance.

How do I confirm the mount is seated correctly?

Verify both arm pins sit flush in their mounting holes and that the pitch measures 44.2mm across. Also check for any binding through the suspension travel before final torque.

What care does the anodized finish need?

Wipe clean with a soft cloth after running to remove grit and moisture. The anodize provides corrosion resistance but keeping parts free of debris prolongs service life.

Should I retune suspension settings after fitting?

Yes. Because the mount increases pin pitch by 0.7mm, make small adjustments to toe and camber and evaluate handling over a few runs to find the correct balance.
