Overview of the front arm mounting part

This is a Yokomo front suspension arm mount, model BD-301RF1, manufactured from blue anodized aluminium for use as a replacement or upgrade on BD7 and BD5 touring car chassis. The horizontal suspension arm pin pitch measures 41.3mm, a key figure to check when matching spare parts and setting up suspension geometry.

The mount provides a firm connection for the front suspension arms and therefore alters front-end stiffness and how the car reacts to steering inputs and bumps. It is a useful tuning item for adjusting roll centre and front bite when used alongside alternative arm lengths, hinge-pin positions, and damper configurations, without modifying the main chassis plate.

Fitting advice: ensure the 41.3mm pin pitch corresponds to your current hinge pins, check for any contact with steering links or shock towers, and secure fasteners to standard RC hobby torque levels to reduce the risk of loosening. Perform a bench fit and visual check before the first circuit run.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Wipe the aluminium with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners after running; inspect the part for nicks or deformation following impacts and replace if structural damage is visible.
By changing the rigidity and mounting points of the front arms, the mount can shift roll centre characteristics, which in turn influences weight transfer and under- or oversteer tendencies depending on other setup choices.
Confirm 41.3mm hinge-pin spacing, check for steering and shock tower clearance, tighten all hardware to RC hobby standards, and perform a bench test to ensure full movement and no binding.
