Fit and Function Overview

This collar is specified for Shuttle ZX use where a 9 x 13 x 6 mm retention sleeve is required to locate and retain a ball bearing. It acts as a compact positioning element to stabilise the bearing inside hubs or gearbox casings on radio-controlled helicopters.

To install, press the collar into its bore until it is fully flush with the mating surface, then fit the bearing against it so both axial and radial alignment are achieved. Avoid striking the part directly with excessive force and rotate the bearing after assembly to ensure there is no binding.

In terms of setup and maintenance, seating the collar consistently reduces play at the bearing interface and supports smooth rotor operation and repeatable drivetrain response. Inspect the mating surfaces during servicing and replace the collar if deformation or wear is present.
