Rear Spring Guidance for BMax4

This rear suspension spring is intended for BMax4 rear shock assemblies in RC applications. The orange soft coil provides a lower spring rate to help tune rear behaviour, useful in conditions where extra rear compliance is advantageous on 1/10 electric touring cars.

Compatibility is centred on BMax4 shock bodies and the common spring retainers used on that platform. For installation, remove the shock from the chassis, carefully compress and lift off the spring cap, swap the spring, then reassemble and check preload and ride height. Use typical RC maintenance tools such as hex drivers and shock pliers for safe handling.

Tuning considerations: a softer rear spring reduces rear axle stiffness, which can yield more mechanical grip but may increase body roll and squat during acceleration. Adjust damping, oil weight, and piston selection to compensate, and make small changes followed by track testing to evaluate results.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
A softer rear spring can alter both corner entry and exit by changing weight transfer and traction. Expect improved rear grip on corner exit but potentially more body roll through entry.
Softer springs often require firmer damping to control motion; choosing a piston with smaller or fewer holes or increasing oil viscosity can help maintain stable rebound and compression behavior.
It is specified for BMax4 rear shocks; front use depends on matching spring length and end retainer style. Verify dimensions before attempting to fit on front assemblies.
