BD8 compatibility and use

This 40g centre balance weight is intended for BD8 on-road chassis and comes as a steel accessory to alter the centre of mass on RC models. The component is provided as ballast to influence handling balance and is not a replacement for suspension or structural parts.

When tuning, the weight moves the chassis centre of gravity toward where it is mounted, which can influence understeer versus oversteer tendencies, affect traction on corner exit, and assist with straight-line stability based on the complete setup. It is designed for fine ballast adjustments at the track.

Installation requires compatible mounting points on the BD8 chassis; the weight sits on the vehicle centreline to affect fore-aft and lateral balance predictably. Try removing or repositioning the weight to evaluate handling differences before altering other setup items.
