Aluminium steering saver and linkage for TT-02/TT-02B

This kit replaces the factory plastic saver and linkage ends on Tamiya TT-02 and TT-02B chassis with machined aluminium components. The saver accepts a 25T servo output and the aluminium tie rods help reduce unwanted deflection in the steering system.

Purpose and fit: designed to integrate with the TT-02/TT-02B steering geometry, the assembly shields the servo output from impacts while creating a more rigid connection between the servo and steering knuckles.

How to fit: the saver secures to the existing 25T servo spline and the aluminium tie rods swap into the stock linkage. You may need to adjust turnbuckles or trim link ends to restore correct toe and steering centre. Check spline seating and thread engagement to avoid binding once installed.

Effect on handling: aluminium parts reduce flex compared with plastic originals, delivering firmer steering feedback and steadier behaviour under load, which assists finer steering setup work and consistent track performance.

If your servo already uses a 25T spline horn, no change is necessary. Confirm your servo horn spline count and replace only if it differs from 25T.
Aluminium transmits larger loads to adjacent components than plastic, so inspect linkages and mounting points regularly; reinforced or metal-linked components can help distribute forces.
Yes. After fitting, check toe, centring and steering travel and make small adjustments to turnbuckles or endpoints to achieve the desired steering geometry.
