Precision spring cup for RC shock assemblies

The Yokomo YOKD064 aluminium spring cup is an R/C damper accessory designed to retain coil springs on numerous shock assemblies. Its purpose is to provide a consistent seat so springs install and index repeatably when assembling or tuning dampers.

This component is broadly compatible rather than model specific: it will suit many shocks that use a separate spring cup. Always verify your shock's spring seat diameter and internal geometry against the cup to confirm fit, as dimensions differ by manufacturer and chassis layout.

To install, slide the cup onto the shock shaft until the spring is at its correct installed height, then complete shock reassembly. The aluminium construction supplies a stable seating surface that resists wear under repeated assembly, helping preserve preload and end-stroke characteristics during setup cycles.

In tuning terms a precise cup helps minimise spring tilt and uneven wear, making small suspension changes more consistent and easier to reproduce at the track or on the bench.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Compatibility depends on the cup's internal bore; compare your shock's seat diameter to the cup dimension. Many common shock types use similar sizes, but always measure to be certain.
Use calipers to measure the shock's seat diameter and inspect the internal contour. Match those values to the cup to avoid fitment issues during assembly.
Aluminium offers a harder, more wear resistant seating surface than many plastics, which helps keep spring position stable over repeated servicing, though weight and cost differences may be a factor.
