Brushed motor conversion adapter

This adapter converts a chassis motor mount that secures the motor via the bottom two screw positions into a mounting point compatible with brushed motors that use diagonal screw holes. The part bridges the difference in screw patterns so you can fit motors that otherwise would not line up with the stock motor mount.

Manufactured from aluminum, the adapter provides a direct thermal path away from the motor housing to help dissipate heat during running. The piece is intended as an accessory for RC-scale touring and GT platform use and is not sized or rated for full-size vehicles.

Installation is straightforward: align the motor's diagonal screw holes with the adapter's threaded locations, secure the motor to the adapter, then attach the adapter to the chassis motor mount using the mount's bottom screw positions. This keeps existing motor mount geometry while accommodating alternate motor screw patterns.

Compatibility

  • RSR-LFGT3RTR
  • RSR-010
  • RSR-010-1
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The adapter is designed to adapt mounting patterns; it does not change motor ratings. Use appropriate mounting screws and check that the motor and screws are rated for your motor's torque. Secure all fasteners and recheck after initial runs.
You may need to fine tune motor placement to preserve correct pinion to spur alignment. Because the adapter keeps the chassis mounting geometry, small adjustments to the motor on the adapter are usually sufficient to achieve correct mesh.
Compare the diagonal screw hole spacing of your motor to the adapter's threaded locations. If the holes align and the motor mounts securely to the adapter, proceed to attach the adapter to the chassis and confirm clearances and alignment.
