Behaviour and fit of the 0.69 front reduction

This front reduction gear set is intended for ball differentials to assist counter-drift performance when installed alongside Yokomo drift components. By combining a 41T driven gear with a 12T drive gear, the set reduces front rotational speed to about 0.69 of the rear, altering how the car initiates and holds a slide.

Fitting involves removing the diff cover at the front and replacing the current gear; basic differential servicing skills and care with alignment are advisable. Since the front is slowed relative to the rear, drivers should adapt to smoother throttle and steering inputs to achieve consistent drift transitions.

Use this gearset when tuning front/rear torque distribution on model drift cars. It is designed exclusively for RC-scale applications.
