The Yokomo D-160 rear shock tower is a graphite replacement part built for DP-DPRA drift-package chassis layouts. It serves as the mounting point for rear shocks and links and is intended to influence rear roll stiffness and shock geometry without modifying other chassis components.
Compatibility is restricted to DP-DPRA chassis as stated. Supplied in black graphite, the tower is a direct-fit accessory for models employing the DPR drift package rear layout. It should not be adapted for unrelated full-size equipment.
Installation notes: remove the existing rear shock tower, align the D-160 to the rear bulkhead and secure using the original mounting hardware. Confirm shock eyelet heights and link alignment before final torque. After initial runs, recheck fastener tightness and inspect the graphite for any developing hairline cracks.
Tuning role: swapping in a graphite tower alters local flex at the shock mounts and can provide more consistent rear responses under drift loads, assisting with body roll control and shock leverage tuning. Use this upgrade alongside other setup changes for best results.
