The YS Engine YSF2187 pump insulator is an aftermarket replacement designed to sit between the fuel pump and the DZ140 engine mounting flange. Its primary function is to absorb and isolate vibration so the pump and adjacent fittings experience less mechanical stress, helping to avoid erratic fuel flow.
Fitting is simple for anyone familiar with glow engine service: undo the pump mounting screws, insert the insulator, and refit the hardware to the correct torque. Use basic RC engine tools and keep the fuel system clean while working to prevent contamination.
When tuning, expect the insulator to assist with repeatable needle settings by reducing vibration-induced fuel inconsistencies; it does not alter engine horsepower or RPM characteristics.
