What the DP-series Kingpin Collar Does

The SD-414CA collar is made from anodized aluminum and fits on the kingpin above and below the front knuckle to provide a consistent bearing surface and correct spacing during steering operation.

Fitting is done by sliding a collar onto the kingpin above the knuckle and another below, then confirming there is no binding before fastening. If steering binds, adjust shimming or retorque components until smooth rotation is achieved across the steering travel.

Benefit for setup: the collars reduce movement at the kingpin seat and help preserve steering geometry under load, which can lead to more reliable steering feedback when dialing in toe and caster changes.

Compatibility: DP-DP8 / DP-DPRA / DP-DPRH / DP-GR35 / DP-UF86A / DP-M786A / DP-HKS86A / DP-MKXA / DP-C33A / DP-SC430A / DP-TY180A / DP-JZX2A / DP-BNAA / DP-SDA / DP-TSFCA / DP-EVXA / DP-DKPA / DP-BS15A / DP-REA7A / DP-C35A / DP-DM13A / DP-GDBFA / DP-ZCRA / DP-1093A / DP-TYS15A / DP-BL34DA / DP-B324RA / DP-SR86A / DP-PS13A / DP-TRS15A / DP-JZZ30A / DP-DR86A / DP-REAA / DP-ORCZ33A / DP-GDBA / DP-JZXA / DP-KOS15A / DP-IS220A / DP-TSS15A / DP-BLR34A / DP-APEXA / DP-HKSA / DP-180SXA / DP-FC3SA / DP-S15A / DP-AE86A / DP-DRG3 / MRTC-SD9 / MRTC-86 / DP-DRG3G / DP-N86R / DP-N86W / DP-N15R / DP-N15W / DP-N15S

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
In many chassis layouts you can slide the collars onto the kingpin in situ, but check for adequate clearance; if access is limited, partially disassembling the knuckle may be necessary for proper seating.
Move the steering through its full travel at low speed and visually inspect for any tight spots; if binding appears, loosen and re-shim or adjust mounting hardware until rotation is smooth.
