The Yokomo YOKBMS1260 is a hard purple front spring supplied for BMax4 front dampers with a marked 1260 rate. Its role is to provide a firmer front spring option so drivers can tune roll and pitch characteristics on 1/10 touring electric cars without modifying shock internals.
To fit, remove the shock cap, compress the shaft, slide the spring over the shaft and seat it against the retainer, then rebuild the shock. Use matched springs on both sides to preserve handling symmetry and check that the spring seats without binding along the shaft travel.
Setting hints: the harder 1260 front spring increases front roll stiffness and reduces braking dive, typically nudging the balance toward understeer. Counter with changes to shock oil, bleed or rear spring rates and evaluate changes step by step on the same surface.
