Steering Block Overview for B-Max4

The Yokomo YOKBM415S is a front steering block intended for use with the Yokomo B-Max4 chassis. As a replacement upright it supports front suspension and steering assemblies, enabling hobbyists to restore worn parts or change components during setup adjustments.

When installing, remove the front upright, swap over any reusable bearings and fasteners, fit the YOKBM415S into the hub carrier, and check the steering linkage for free movement. Once reassembled, inspect wheel alignment and ensure steering recentres prior to running the model.

In setup terms the steering block interacts with toe, caster and ackermann geometry, so changing blocks should be evaluated as part of iterative tuning. Inspect bearing seats and ball studs for signs of wear when replacing the upright to keep geometry within the intended range for your B-Max4.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Check the part number against your chassis documentation or consult the vendor. Matching the YOKBM415S part code to the B-Max4 specification is the safest way to ensure correct fit.
Look for play at the steering joints, rough bearing rotation, or visible damage to the upright. These symptoms typically indicate it is time to replace the steering block to restore precise steering.
After replacement you should confirm servo centring and steering trim. Minor adjustments may be necessary to restore neutral steering and ensure predictable on-track behaviour.
