This might be Futaba's 2PHKA MJ (Magnum Junior) 2-Channel can be Pistol Grip broadcast with One S3003 Standard Servo.

If transformed over for NiCd use: the atmosphere is diode protected in order to avoid overcharging, and therefore the battery pack can't be released through transmitter.
