Small and capable, the Futaba S3114 is well suited for pilots wanting reliable, precise control in space-limited radio bays. It is a practical choice for many micro RC airframes.

For normal sport aerobatics on light electric models the S3114 performs reliably. For very aggressive manoeuvres or larger aircraft, select a servo with higher torque or metal gears.
Standard micro clevises and pushrods fit the 23mm x 16mm four-arm horn. Choose a clevis that gives you the correct control throw and reliable retention.
Use a quality servo extension cable with matching gauge and keep total cable length reasonable to avoid voltage drop. Solder joints or thin connectors should be avoided in high-vibration locations.
Inspect linkages and mounting periodically and keep the gears free from grit. Replace the servo if you notice persistent play or grinding noises.
